On Sunday, April 29, 2018, the Feast Day of Saint Catherine of
Siena, ten men and women made their first Dominican Family commitment, making
them the ninth class to do so. Following two years of study and formation, the
entire class chose to join us as Dominicans at the Commitment Mass. The Celebrant for the Mass was fellow Dominican Family member, Fr. John Rooney. He reminded all of us of Saint Catherine's challenge, "Do not be satisfied with little things, because God wants great things!" The service included wonderful music provided by Carolyn Bobo, Phylliss Chappell, Paul Antolik, pianist Michael Comeaux, and guitarist, Dana Mischlich. Photography was courtesy of fellow Dominican member, Kelly Reed.
Meet our newest Dominicans who bring a great hunger for the Truth and an
abundance of caring hearts: Charlette Sullivan, Greg Sullivan, Magnolia Phillips, Joanne Guarino, Amy Greely, David Greely, Lauren Emmerson, Margaret Mayer, Susan Blythe and Dennis Blythe.
Special thanks to all the DF Formation Team (Sr. Carol Mayes, Joe Allen, Maria Burdick, John Hensley, Georgia Skopal and Denise Stasio) for accompanying them on their Dominican journey, as well as those who invited and supported them.
