We are looking forward to our October
2 Dominican Family Mass & Gathering at 2:00 p.m. at the Mother
House. The Dominican Sisters of Houston celebrate 140 years today,
Thursday, September 29. It’s the perfect time for us to join together
in worship and thanksgiving for all of the sisters who have touched our
lives. Sunday’s Mass will take place in lieu of our October Gathering
continuing our commitment to offering times for prayer and community
without nighttime travel on a weekday. We hope you can join us. Light
refreshments will follow mass.

Co. on Thursday, October 6 at 5:00 p.m., where we can build community
with our fellow Dominican Family members, and enjoy beer and brew

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for
your generous response to our request for donations to the Dominican
Family. As we noted, these funds are used to keep our website,
Flocknotes, monthly Gatherings, and masses going throughout the year.
Thank you very much; we couldn’t do it without you.
Some email providers have made changes
to their security settings. A few DF members have noted that they are
not receiving the Daily Prayer emails they signed up for nor
Flocknotes. Please check your Spam, Other, and Trash folders for these
emails and change the settings so that they are recognized as
legitimate emails. Each provider is different, and we recommend
searching for specific instructions on how to change this with your
provider. Also, please check that your Flocknote contact information is
correct and that you have opted in for all correspondence.
It is with sadness that we share the
passing away of former Dominican Family member John Bradley. Please
keep John, his wife Shirley, and the entire Bradley family in your
prayers.
