April Gathering Date: Monday, April 3 Location: Motherhouse Time: 5:45 p.m. 6:00 p.m. - NEW! Contemplative Prayer
In honor of our Pillar of Prayer,
please join us for this OPTIONAL offering prior to
the start of socialization at our next Gathering. The goal of contemplative prayer is to
learn to let the thoughts (of your day, worries, whatever) go so you
can focus on God’s presence. We welcome feedback so we can tailor this
prayer time to fit the interest of Dominican Family.
6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Socialization 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. Gathering hosted by the Integral Ecology Committee
Integral Ecology Corner
Did you know that recycling one glass bottle saves enough energy to power
a standard light bulb for about four hours. Glass does not decompose easily and is categorized as
one of the human-made longest-lasting materials. Glasses are
everywhere, and we use them in our everyday lives, just like plastics. However, a glass bottle may take up to 1 million years to decompose in the
environment. This means that glass manufactured and used 5000 years ago
may still be present in the environment. Please come hear our talk on
April 3 as we discuss what it means to "Live an
Integral Ecology Lifestyle."
March Gathering - YOU ARE BELOVED!
Thank you to our St. Pius X High
School Family members for hosting our March Gathering. Sandra Derby
spoke on "Living as the Beloved of God" and our Lenten
invitation to embrace our most fundamental identity: God's beloved sons
and daughters. We are grateful to Sandra for inspiring our Lenten
journey and some wonderful table talk!
