Reminder that the vigil taking place at the potential detention center (419 Emancipation Avenue) will continue through Friday.
To participate use this link.In addition to this vigil, there is a call to prayer organized by the Dominican Family. We and other persons of faith are coming together on Thursday to pray for the rapid reunification of the children separated from their families as well as to pray for the moral courage of our leaders to act with mercy and compassion as they seek a legislative fix to this human struggle. We will carry the candles in hope of being the light in the midst of this darkness and pray for our brothers and sisters throughout this country who are marching, kneeling, and acting for justice. Please join us this Thursday, June 28 from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at 419 Emancipation.
As this is an interfaith event, if you know of a faith leader who would like to offer a word/prayer during our time together please reach out to Jenifer Wagley, jrw2524@yahoo.com or 281-433-1224 as she is serving as the volunteer coordinator of this gathering.
Thanks to Dominican Family member John Gorczynski with the help of Domincan Family volunteer Kahlan Martin for making these events happen. Additionally, the Dominican Family is working on a Facebook event post for everyone.
