On Sunday, May 15, 2022 the newest nine Dominican Family members made their First Commitment. From left to right, Pam Loflin, Kelli Kuykenhal, Irma Billette, Teresa Humphreys, Fletcher Prouty, Laura Grove, Marcia Clark, Maureen Bacchi, and Joan Mateker. Twelve women and men began their Dominican formation journey last August. Three others in formation were unable to make the Commitment Mass and will make their First Commitment in September. Each of these new Dominicans bring a wealth of experience, gifts and enthusiasm to our family.

Informational Gathering August 22nd

Now is the time to begin inviting  family and friends to get more information about our Dominican Family.  Our annual Informational Gathering will be  August 22nd. Below is the pertinent information to share.

The Dominican Family has over 130 women and men who are committed to promoting the principles of Saint Dominic through prayer, study, community, and preaching.  Want to know more?  There will be an informational meeting on Monday, August 22 at the Dominican Sisters Conference Center (6501 Almeda Road) at 6:30 p.m. with refreshments followed by a short presentation on Saint Dominic by Sr. Carol Mayes, O.P.  You will also hear about the formation and mission of the Dominican Family as the members walk side-by-side with the Dominican Sisters of Houston.
