GATHERING REMINDER
Monday, March 7, 2022 Motherhouse, 6501 Almeda Road 6:00 p.m. – Socializing 6:30 p.m. – Program
Dr. Phylliss Chappell, "Guided Meditation and
Spiritual Reflection" Table Conversation – Lenten Journeys in the time of
COVID

COVID Protocols for our Gathering
We continue to be very respectful of
the health and safety of every Dominican Family member who might attend
AND all the resident sisters at the Villa. Please keep in mind
the following for our in-person Gathering on Monday:
- Please
monitor your health and if you do not feel well or feel you've
been exposed to someone who has tested positive, please stay at
home, and take care of yourself.
- We
ask that you wear a mask if you are uncomfortable with the group
setting but still want to attend. We will set up ample tables to
minimize the number of people at each table.
- We
believe that we can now meet safely if everyone follows the simple
rules we've all come so familiar with in identifying and watching
for the signs of the times.
Updates and Continued Prayers for the People of Ukraine
As members of the Dominican Family, we
are united with the International Dominican Order by virtue of our vows
and commitments. Please view here a letter from Master of the
Order, Fr. Gerard Francisco Timoner III, OP, encouraging those so moved
to pray the Litany of the Dominican Saints during
Lent. Also find an updated letter from Pilar del Bario,
OP, and Margaret Mayce, OP of the Dominican Sisters International
Confederation, and news from the Vicar Provincial of Ukraine, Fr.
Jaroslaw Krawiec OP. May the better angels of all nations working to
build peace in Ukraine and in our world persevere. May the God of Peace
watch over, protect and heal all those whose lives have been impacted
by this senseless war.
Lenten Prayer Books
Lenten prayer books will be available
on Monday. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you are welcome to
ask a fellow Family member to pick one up for you. Otherwise, email Sr.
Carol after March 7. Note all Family Members will receive the first
week of readings through Flocknote since Lent starts before our
Gathering.
We look forward to seeing you on
Monday!
Greg Schockling Anna Sklut Mary Gangelhoff Sr. Carol Mayes, O.P.
