Dominican Family Gatherings
Meeting Recap October 5, 2020
The meeting had 40+ members who
gathered “virtually” by Zoom, starting with a prayer and announcements.
Anna encouraged everyone to read the information included below
that outlines all the committees and their chairs. Please contact the
chairperson if you are interested in joining one of these committees.
Dominican Family announced a new
committee--Racial Justice. With so much going on this year it felt like
an opportune time to explore this important issue and form a committee.
Calista Herbert is the chair, please contact her at calista@herberts.org
to learn more about participating.
We started the next modules in “The
Life and Spirit of St. Dominic:” Formative Encounters and Grace
and Challenge. If you were unable to join for this
month’s gathering, we encourage you to watch those modules at www.opcharism.org.
We broke out into small groups after
each module to discuss the reflective portions of each module and had
some wonderful discussions. Anna closed the meeting with our Dominican
prayer.
Note: If you are in contact with a DF member who is not
receiving Flocknotes, please have them call Mary Perrotti at
630.247.5212.
Thank you Amy Greeley for submitting this month's recap.
Next meeting: Monday, November 2, 2020 @ 7:00 pm
