catch up before next meeting, login to opcharism.org and check
out “The Early Years.”

Opportunities and Announcements
- The prayer team
needs more prayer leaders! Dominican Family daily prayer is one way that
our community stays connected and practices our spirituality.
Prayers are written by a small group of writers, who take a few
weeks at a time. If you would be willing to assist in
writing/finding prayers and ministering to our community in this
special way, please contact Richard Gillespie: rgillespie42@comcast.n...
- Wednesday,
September 30, 7-8:15 p.m. Interfaith Ministries is
hosting a virtual conversation with Megan Phelps Roper, a former member of
Westboro Baptist Church. She will speak about her life as part of
this hate group, why she left, and the role empathy played in her
decision to leave the group, which was started by her grandfather.
Her story is inspiring and riveting. Tickets are $25
and $50 (with a book) and can be reserved HERE. All proceeds benefit
IM’s work in our community.
- RSVP by October 8
for the “Structure of Racism” Anti-Racism workshop with Dr. Craig
Oettinger. The workshop is October 10, 1-3 p.m. (flyer attached).
RSVP to Sr. Ceil: croeger@domhou.org to get the link
for the event.
- The
LCWR, Leadership Conference of Women Religious, has created
an 8-week study series to invite people into prayer and dialogue
leading up to the 2020 election: “Towards a More Perfect Union.”
Consider checking out these resources and spending some time in
prayer and reflection leading up to this year’s election.
- The
USCCB, United States Catholic Conference of Bishops, also have
resources about civil discourse as we enter into this election
season you can access by visiting: usccb.org/news/2019/us... or wearesaltandlight.org/...
